| 4-ELEMENTS MASSAGE / PHILOSOPHY |
«...sometimes a thing grows to completely bond all the elements, sometimes separate to share all elements of one thing: Fire, Water, Earth and the infinite height of Air».
Empedocle:
In traditional philosophy, dating back to the Greek theories, the four elements represent respectively the origin of all things.
Thales of Miletus declared water was the first principle of things, Anaximenes took for its origin air, Heraclitus assumed as the principle of substance fire. Unlike these predecessors Empedocles settled the dispute and claimed that all the four elements together, air, fire, earth and water are the ultimate basis of all existing things.
Similar concepts and philosophy recur also in other cultures. In the Chinese tradition there are five elements which include fire, earth, water, metal, wood; and five elements are prominent in the Indian Ayurvedic tradition: aether, air, fire, water, earth.
The contemporary scientific knowledge is the realm wherein the original and unique ISHI method has been developed, a new way to offer the latest select and indulgent well being and beauty treatments.
Starting from a careful and rigorous diagnosis, through a functional approach, it comes an easy and extremely effective treatment programme, targeted on excellent and visible results, while using original methods and boosting extraordinary sensory emotions.
The multi-sensorial ISHI Method has earned international renown thanks to the development of its Italian Well-being Philosophy, an emotional and at the same time rational approach to face the most diverse beauty problems with long-lasting and highly effective results.
From the concept of the four elements and the Hippocratic methodology, we now present an optimal, versatile method offering unique, unforgettable experience that pampers and helps escape the daily psycho-physical stress. Centuries ago, Hippocrates, the undisputable father of medicine, developed the idea that people could be categorized according to four "types" based on their morphology, with different psychological and pathological features , wherein the choleric corresponds to the element Fire, the sanguine to the Air, the phlegmatic to the Water and the melancholic to the Earth.
From the wisdom of the past to the modern science and advance research the evolution of the ISHI Method has come to specific techniques of balancing and skin problems treatments offering beauty programmes and long lasting well-being and relaxation.
You can see all four temperaments in everyone, even if one of the four often prevails (even astrology call zodiac signs “earth”, “air”, “water” and “fire”). People often wish to enhance their own basic element, in order to boost its qualities or alternatively they look for a contact with the opposite element to improve its awareness and rebalance.
